DAY 1 CUSCO – WAYQECHA LODGE

We pick you up early from your hotel to then drive for much of the day along the famous Manu Road, having many great stops at local farms and colonial towns, where we can see the auntenthic local life and have also chance for great pictures opportunities. Along this car driving we also have a very good spot for lunch where the view will stick in your memories. After this good luch time we keep moving to have a mandatory stop at Manu National Park ranger station, where the scenary begins to change for more vegetation along the road. This change brings cool views and better chances for mountain toucans and at the end we arrive to our cool lodge located at a very nice corner. Dinner at the lodge.

DAY 2 WAYQECHA LODGE – COCK OF THE ROCK LODGE

We pack before having breakfast to then take the car and begin to move down the road, this time the road gets more forested and the chances for finding monkeys gets bigger since trees get bigger too. So having a private car let us have many stops along this road increasing the chances for monkey spotting and others. This change in vegetation is due to altitud changing which brings better opportunities for warmer temperature animals such as monkeys, butterfies, birds and reptiles. So on the way down to our second lodge we more things to see and learn until we arrive to the lodge late in the afternoon. Dinner at the lodge.

DAY 3 COCK OF THE ROCK LODGE FULL DAY

Having a full day at this nice location and lodge will be just perfect since the garden around has animals feeders that brings cool animals like Tayra (animal related to river otters), Brown Agouti, Amazon Squirrel and plenty of colorful birds and hummingbirds. Plus this day we also has the chance fo visiting a special bird spot where we can see the famous and colorful bird Cock of the rock, that is considered our national bird. Nature walks around the lodge property to learn about tropical and subtropical forest, plus to look for more monkey species like Large Headed Brown Capucin and other animals. Late that day we take the car again to go for a very nice lookout where we can see the whole Kosñipata Valley and have a great time enjoying the sunset and come back with flash lights. Dinner at the lodge.

DAY 4 .- COCK OF THE ROCK LODGE – PILCOPATA LODGE – MADRE DE DIOS RIVER – MACHUWASI LAGOON

Another early pack to then have breakfast and continue with our MANU National Park adventure. And thistime we will be driving at much lower altitud, having very different views and scenary. More local people and farms along this sepcial trip with nice stop son local town to see how local people leave and at the same time to see the legal natural plantation of the famous Coca leaf, which is a natural inca heritage. After this special stops we finally arrive to Atalaya port where we take a motor boat to navigate the very beggining of the biggest river in southeastern Peru, the famous Madre de Dios River. A motor boat trip for 20 minutes to then have a nice jungle walk and visit a very cool lagoon where we can enjoy preety water life like the special water turkey known as Hoatzin, different monkey species and very ool big trees with great root system, perfect site for pictures and wildlife watching. Then boat back to Pilcopata Town where the lodge is, dinner would be around in a local restaurant in the town.

DAY 5 PILCOPATA LODGE – BACK TO CUSCO

Relax morning visiting the local market and the local products that eventually arrive to cusco. Breakfast and the car back to Cusco sine the driving back to Cusco takes at least 6 hours. At the end we drop you off at your hotel in Cusco.
