Lima birds and birding lima is a great mixture of desert and dry scrub forest bird where extra birds are hummingbirds like Oasis Hummingbird, Purple Collared Woodstar, Andean Tinamou and many more while birding lima.

DAY 1 LIMA – LOMAS DE LACHAY
Birding Lima as a full day brings good bird species such as Cactus Canastero, Thick Billed Miner, Raimondi’s Yellow finch, least seedsnipe, Grayish miner, Coastal Miner, Peruvian thick-knee, Andean Tinamou, Oasis Hummingbird, Band Tailed Sierra Finch and many more birds since you can also bird Paraiso lagoon with sea and wetland bird species. Our bird tour starts by picking you up from your Hotel to then go straight to Lomas de Lachay, a place with the good habitat of Hilly and Desert forest by the coast, the place is covered by Cactus, Agaves, and Desert type vegetation. It is located at only 105 km north of Lima where birding lima also give you nice landscape and really good birds.
Birding lima also takes you to paraiso lagoon where you can add some wetland birds like Many Colored Rush tyrant, Wren like rushbird, Chilean Flamingo, South american tern, Plumbeous rail, White Cheecked Pintail and many others that are only possible while birding lima and surrounding.
02 hours driving along the Northern Panamerican road, to reach a beautiful Oasis located in a very dry part of Atacama desert.
This Oasis holds very good birds like Cactus Canastero, Thick-billed Miner, Grayish Miner, Oasis Humingbird at altitud rangers from 1000m to 1700m.
Easy birding and also nice habitat for photographers.
Best time to be visited is from May to October.
